Birthday Week Kick-off!

Yes it is officially my birthday week!!!
Yaaayyy!
For today's post I will be telling you kids the story
of the "Sacred Geneva Wine."
OOOoooooOOOOO..

Once upon a time..
my best friend Erica visited a far away
land called Geneva.

As a gift she bought her best friend a nice bottle
of red.  Now, the girls promised
each other that they would only crack it open on a
special occasion.. an occasion where they both accomplished
something great! So the two girls started to come up with goals
to accomplish so that they could simply just drink the bottle to their face
with not a care in the world!
Well... the list of "greats" grew and grew and grew..
Until it looked like this...

We will drink to celebrate when...
  1. I get onto the Visual Team
  2. I get my first "real person" apartment
  3. Erica gets into law school
  4. we turn 24
  5. Erica and I move in together
  6. we turn 25
  7. Erica moves to DC for law school
  8. we celebrate Christmas
  9. we celebrate Valentine's Day?
  10. Easter..
As you can see... all of these special occasions and milestones
have come and gone and we still have YET  to crack the bottle.
So this past weekend I decided to, while we are both still at the ripe
age of 25... and I am about to kiss my youth goodbye
and we are both making moves and still dating within the same bloodline..
I decided... we should drink.  We need a drink.

... and we deserve it.

The most amazing wine I've ever tasted
with my most amazing friend.

Jewelmint: Brixton Earrings

Jewelmint lured me in again!
This time it was for the Brixton Earrings.
Love them!

And you know what I love even more?
I got them for free!
Zero shipping and paid for them with my credits!
Happy Birthday to ME!

They remind me a little of Chanel...
They have the color blocking effect going on..
And they kind of resemble plugs, which gives them a punk look.
Overall.. my perfect earring!

Cancerian Birthday Celebration II

OK... I'm here.

Today was.... stupid.
I practically fell asleep during a conference call,
I couldn't keep my eyes open!

I felt like someone had sucked the life out of me
through my toes... and when I have days like that..
I get in my car (I'm aware this is illegal),
I take off my shoes and drive with no music on.
I just have to let my head clear .

I got a Starbucks venti iced coffee black
(if you want to ever buy me a coffee that is my order du jour)
Came home and went on a cleaning rampage.. and now
I'm finally getting to my post.

So... this year I have to share my birthday month.
I know.. crazy.
But the entire visual team are Cancers!
With the exception of our manager who is a Pisces
.. but that's basically the same thing.

The only difference between Cancer and Pisces there is that Cancers wear their
emotions on their sleeve (and also on their legs, back, shoulders you name
it.. we're basically dipped in a vat of emotion for the world to see)
and if you add alcohol? Jesus. You're in for a treat.
Pisces? Pisces have the same emotions but they don't let
you in for shit! The most introverted MF's you'll ever meet.
Anyways!

Lesa's Birthday Gift!

So Saturday is the next visual team member's birthday
... and today we took her to Cheesecake Factory.

A {Monkey} Dressed in Silk inspired me to get some
green food in me! So of course I went with the
Avocado Egg Rolls. MMMMM!
.. and I had the Mexican soup to start!

I could seriously eat avocados all day everyday..
To my face.

So I'm sorry for ranting and for posting super late and for
being a crack headed, sleep deprived B today.

Tomorrow is a new day!

The All American Man

The other day when I was writing my blog post
and this kid walked by me in the mall.

My eyes went directly down to his
crotch-ile region...

He was wearing the most amazing belt.

I immediately Googled "Toggle Rope Belt"
and of course...
It is one of my Mr. Ralph Lauren's creations.

What I love about Mr. Lauren
is how masculine and clean his designs are.
They aren't this look that
only a certain type of guy can pull off.

His whole concept behind his designs
is heavily influenced by old western films and the idea of the
"rugged man" and "Americana."

And, we can't forget about
how absolutely smokin' hot he was in his day..
.. and he's not too bad looking now either.
... and he has a blonde bombshell for a wife.
He's pretty much the man.

Anyways..

This belt is an easy way to give your
summer wardrobe a refreshing face lift.. without
investing too much money.

It is on sale for $39!
(click on the image and you can make your purchase)

Wear it with denim or khakis or madras or fatigues.
It's one of those preppy pieces that has an edge to it.
You can really wear it with anything.
It's just a really cool novelty piece.

And while we're on the topic of Americana..
Here are a few photos from the fourth!

Oh hi Stanley!
A dog... and some dogs.

My two little nuggets!!

... and Michaela Collins...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

A perfectly white wedding..

This weekend was absolutely beautiful.

My very good friend from
preschool got married on the cliffs of Plymouth
for a July 3rd wedding.

A very white wedding!
So clean and perfect.. She, her family and
her bridesmaids did an amazing job...

The programs were handmade fans with ribbons
on the end... so cute.

The beautiful
Mrs. Aimee-Lee Kadehjian.

Every wedding has to have adorable kids that
you can't stop taking pictures of.

The Flower Girl and Ring Bearer played that role
real well I must say!

I love this photo... in the distance is
Aimee and Tim taking the photographs that they will
have forever..

And of course... there were fireworks.

An amazing night for an amazing couple.

Oh and PS....
Aimee? Just fast forward through my
testimonial.. I don't think it went as smoothly as I hoped.

Michael pretended to walk over with me..
then ditched me as soon as I sat down and headed to the men's room..
listened in on my lovely speech and has been making fun of me ever since.

But don't worry!
Lynda felt pretty confident about hers..
She wouldn't stop telling me about it.
"I said.. I said.. Ames! ... because that's what I call her,
Ames!"... ok mom....... calm down.

So needless to say,
enjoy!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Block Island 07.03.10

A photo from last 4th of July weekend...
I could have made it a picture of MD's burnt bod..
but I figured you would enjoy this one more.

Never go out with a Syracuse girl on a week day.

... a little fun fact a gentleman once told me.

So yesterday was the lovely Coleen's birthday
and the day started out innocent enough..
at the American Girl store!

Yup, we enjoyed a birthday lunch
complete with our very own doll.
We also embarrassed our birthday girl via song
and were too cheap and full to get a real cake
so they gave us a whip cream pretend cake.

It was great.

The food was actually pretty amazing.
My plate was called "The Best Chicken Fingers Ever" plate
and they really were the best chicken fingers ever!

I remember when I had Samantha... and then I got Felicity too.
And they were the balls.
But now.... they have taken it to the Nth degree.

This is when things got horrifying..
There were so many dolls... like so many.
Every ethnicity and every theme you could think of..

And that's when we came across this one...

Like seriously? Is that serious.
Headgear girl? No one wants to be headgear girl.
Never mind own a doll with headgear.
Anyways...

After work.... that's when the
night got blurry.

We went to the Levis store on Newbury St
where we watched our friends play
some music.. and had one too many beers.

I was dressed as a tree hugging hippie
for the night with shoes that
were just a liiiiittle bit too high
for a night of stumbling on the streets.

We ended our birthday adventures at the Pour House.
Where we thought no food and tequila shots
were a good idea.
Poor Noodle had to take care of us all.

When we got back to Southie
my friend Danny and I went to the beach.
I think we were only there for like 4 minutes,
but we still managed to have a heart to heart.

I really miss living by the water.

.... I feel like garbage right now.

So like I said before..
Never go out with a Syracuse girl on a week day.
During the day is all sweet and sugar coated and filled with
princesses and dolls
... and then night falls and it's an absolute shit show.
And the next morning is filled with regret and lack of
dignity with a mild case of depression.

Have a safe holiday weekend everyone!
