Spiked Cranberry Punch

My spiked cranberry punch wasssss a hit.
So good..... and so strong.  Many limited themselves to one glass.
Not because they wanted to, but because they had to drive
within the next sayyy 5 hours.

Ingredients:

3 cups cranberry juice cocktail
3 cups ginger ale
2 cups vodka
1 can frozen orange juice from concentrate (I forgot this ingredient and substituted with orange sherbet)
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch allspice
smaller pinch nutmeg
sugar to taste
thinly sliced orange

You basically add all of these ingredients together as you see them listed.
Wait to add the orange juice concentrate until you have mixed the rest of  the
ingredients, add the concentrate and let it melt, stirring gently.

Enjoy safely!

It's Thanks Giving!!

Happy Thanks Giving dolls!!

This morning I cranked some holiday tunes made some brussel sprouts
with bacon and parmesan cheese. Mmm!  They smell so good!
As another contribution to my family's Thanks Giving feast I will be
making some spiked cranberry punch! I'm excited to see how it comes out!
(if either concoction is any good I'll share the recipes later!)

Eat, love and be merry!

I can always return them if I come to my senses right??

A Practical Magic Moment

The sun was going down and I was driving on the
freeway over Half Moon Bay on my way into San Francisco.
I was belting Joni Mitchell's Case of You with the windows down and
it was perfect.  I felt just like Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic.

The hills right outside of San Francisco are like nothing I've ever seen before.
It is really amazing.  I love being able to not only see all of these different
cities but I love being able to drive around in them.   I miss driving and singing
along horribly.. not able to carry a tune.. and not caring.

Why I heart BK

On this lovely Sunday there were lots of people out and about
in the BK trying to cure their cabin fever.. again we were extremely lucky
seeing that there are streets and businesses and houses
in existence and with power in our borough!

Saying I feel "at home" doesn't even describe how I  feel about Brooklyn.
The people, the design, the restaurants, the stores and the overall lifestyle of
Williamsburg is so inspiring to me.  I know many Manhattanites would beg to
differ but for me, as a creative person.. it is like living in a dream world!

Here is a peek in the day in a life in Williamsburg.

Sadah and I grabbed espresso at House of Wonder
and shopped around at A & G Merch, The Future Perfect and Brooklyn Flea.

This was my first visit to Brooklyn Flea
and I bought a little something for one of the (future) stores!
A caste iron easel.

Now I have to finish packing because I am off to
California and then Boston starting tomorrow! More store openings and
some holiday installations are what's on my list!

Shortly after is Georgetown (yaaaaayyy Erica) and Sweden once again!
