Twinkle lights, a lavender candle and Stevie Nicks.

I'm currently sitting on my floor, my heart a little heavy,
editing photos by candlelight and listening to some Stevie.
I'm feeling a little nostalgic and missing my first friends and
soulmates from Syracuse.  Every summer since we met this little
internal alarm would go off and we would all contact each other
at the same time and we knew it was time to get together.

These photos are from my favorite visit with
them at my friend Mallory Sophronia's sister's farm.
We had this beautiful mansion all to ourselves and every day
we drank and played with oversized dogs and ran around the beaches
and woods of Maine.  I miss Maine so much.  Especially when
summer is ending and fall is about to begin.

These girls will have my heart forever.

a small sampling from the big day...

The wedding of the century was indeed the wedding of the century.
Everything came out so beautiful and every detail was executed perfectly.
It was a proud, happy, exciting (every amazing feeling in the world) moment.
So yes... the wedding was beautiful.. but what was even more beautiful
was watching the couple the day before and the day of the wedding.
These two are just.... everything everyone wants and hopes for.
They are best friends, so in love and I have to say.. Jamie's father put it perfectly.
They both just "get it."  They get and understand what life, love and friendship
is about.  They don't take moments and things for granted and they are so respectful and
loving towards each other.  You look at them and can't be anything else but happy for them.
They will truly live a very happy and fulfilling life together.

Here are just a few moments..
More photos to come!

w e d d i n g w e e k

I'm on a train to New England for the wedding of the century!
Naturally I have wedding on the brain considering I am setting and photographing
a very special one this weekend.  Oh yes!  Get excited.  This will be the wedding
post of aaaaaall wedding posts.  You better believe it.

On my perfect train ride home I am of course scouring
Pinterest for some last minute photo inspo.  I came across this one here.
T H I S is how I want to exit my ceremony.

An old car, a handful of wild flowers and my husband.
Perfection in my brain.

#sundays: planty fun time

Great Sunday in Boston.

Had brunch at The Beehive and went to the beach!
We found this little urban garden supply on Tremont called Niche.
It felt like a little sliver of Brooklyn in there. Beautifully merchandised with
great plants and products.  I pretty much wanted to buy everything but
luckily I was traveling back to BK and buses are not plant friendly!
(My emaciated checking account is thanking me)

Whoever is strumming their guitar outside my window right now.. I love you.
Good night.

Sadah is crazy.
These are her Justin and Jay Z nails.
Insane.

The nail artist's name is Mei and she is clearly super talented!
Visit nailbymei.com and check her out.

Vanity

Just another vendor discovered at the BK Flea.
This thing encompasses everything I love.
It's weathered, but not exactly "shabby chic" (I'm over it), it has
simple clean lines, the details were preserved ie the tiny wheels and knobs
and that mirror has an Art Nouveau whip lash curve thing going on.

#SUNDAYS

Today was super productive.
My day started in Westchester.. finishing up an Interior Design project
I have going on.. then I moved on to the Brooklyn Flea with one of my
sorority sisters that just moved to Williamsburg from Chi Town.
Then I had drinks with my best girls (Sadah and Olive) at Hotel Delmano.
And now we're ordering pizza, sipping wine and watching Real Housewives.

Perfect day.

I found so many treasures at BK Flea!!
I found a beautiful mid century side table for one of the stores,
the cross body bag of my dreams and a caste bronze crab
that was an ash tray from the 60's that I will use to house my jewels!

The cross body bag was handmade by Ryan Greer of Flux
and the little crabby is from Hunters and Gatherers NYC.

The owner of Hunters and Gatherers is a Cancer and
collects amazing vintage bronze crab decor.  I was in heaven.
Immediately he asked if I was a Cancer... he could see my excitement.
Today... was a good day.
