It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas!

The thing I love about this
city is my interaction with complete strangers.
There's a sense of closeness with New Yorkers.
We... can I say we? I'm going to.
We take care of each other. I like it.

I was purchasing a dust buster the other day
and as I was paying I was looking at this candle that
this guy was going to buy.  He, as if we were good friends,
said "Oh god you have to smell this."  It wasn't weird.
I promise.

The smell was so amazing.
The smell of authentic Christmas Tree.
I instantly added it to my purchase.
Thank you mystery man!

Black Forest
A blend of Douglas Fir and Ebony Wood
- with the subtle hint of Black Currant.

I just realized it's a soy candle too!
It's sitting next to me right now.
It smells like Christmas.

This is a perfect gift for the male in your life.
What guy doesn't enjoy the smell of a pine candle?
I have someone in mind that would enjoy this.

It's Friday at noon...

.. and instead of going to sleep like I should have two hours ago
(I haven't slept in 28 hours)
I came home, showered, threw on an over sized t-shirt and
my brand new men's sock monkey socks and had a photo shoot
with my brand new Crate & Barrel garland I bought yesterday.

Ugh.
I just love it so much.
Ok good night guys!

Go fish.

I can't believe I haven't shared this yet.

My friends just have a knack for gift giving.
The gifts I receive are always so personable and
everything I never knew I wanted.

I seriously mean that.
Like this gift was a housewarming gift from my friend Sarah.
I would never think that I would want an over sized box
of matches and a fish pitcher but when I opened my gift
I was absolutely blown away.

How cool?
Sorry.. I think it's really cool.
And the candle is so beautiful.

She also got me a beautiful bottle of
champagne called "Alice" because she knows
how much I love Alice in Wonderland.
So thoughtful.

Sarah said fishies always remind her of me!
I do love myself some gold fish.
They were my only pets growing up!
Tinker Bell I, II, III and IV treated me well.

So anyways...
Get creative with your gifts for the holidays!
Think outside of the box.

A Holiday Party Present!

How do you make a dress that goes past your knees
and looks like a night gown you wore on Christmas Eve Night
about 15 years ago look freakin awesome?

You throw thigh high leather boots on.

This was my "I want to look like a present" holiday party outfit!
Complete with my Kate Spade bow cocktail ring!

A great look if you date a pedophile!

This was a Christmas present from one of my best friends from home.
I get so excited this time of year to whip it out!
It's my favorite holiday accessory.

Another favorite cold weather accessory.. besides fur neck piece..
are my old school Jan Bret style Gant by Michael Bastian gloves!
So warm and I'll never lose them!

I love this city and I love when friends come to visit.

This weekend my Noodle came to visit me!
It was so nice to have a little piece of home to hang out with.
Our time together was mostly filled with shopping and eating.

On Saturday we went for brunch at Nolita House where we listened
to a live Bluegrass band play while we ate the most delicious food.

Even the chalk board is mocking me.

Then we did some Christmas shopping in Soho!
I am the best sister in the world and Noodz is the best girl friend.
We got some pretty diesel men's gifts.

The visual set ups at the stores were awesome.

This store was called Love, Adorned.
They had the most beautiful interior set up.

Not to mention they had the most beautiful Lapis Lazuli
vintage cocktail ring from India.
Only $1,300. Any takers? Or should I say givers?
I've been a good girl this year!?

Sunday morning we drove over to Williamsburg
and had eggs benedict in this adorable restaurant served by
a waiter that was equally as adorable.

If you look really hard.. our cute waiter
is the one with the flannel, the 5 o'clock shadow
and the sweet drifter hat.

Oh, and PS... tomorrow I will be bringing the vanity fashion photo fest back!
See ya then!

A home for my hearts.

I found a home for my hearts.
They're bottled up in a glass ball of emotion.
And ever since I bottled them up I feel better.
Mind over matter?

Lately I can't wait to just come home,
get in my jammies, make my hearts and
listen to A Very She & Him Christmas.

It's the perfect night for me.

One of my favorite dialogues...

"Pooh" he whispered.

"Yes, Piglet?"

"Oh, nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I was just making sure of you."
