To Grandmother's house we go!

The MD.. for the first time ever.. agreed to go for a walk with me!  It was so beautiful out today so I put on my tye-dyed SU sweatshirt with my chucks and we hit the streets! The moon was absolutely amazing! It was so full and you could fully see the moon maiden (many people think that it's the man on the moon but in actuality there is a perfectly pretty lady on that moon of ours!).  We walked from H to Marine to visit my Grandma.  You could tell she was so happy to have company.  I love her. She's a riot... and I love making her smile.  I really should visit her more since I live down the street from her. She's an amazing woman.  Then we left for moonlit walk home... holding hands... like lovers do.. because we're losers.  Teehehe.

Now the roomies and I are sipping wine and belting Adele's Rolling in the Deep!... and lil k discovered this gem... this one is for you Jessica Dobis:

Color Me Green Part II

This was a treat from American Provisions that I bought Ash as a thank you for picking me up for dinner... and of course I forgot to give it to her......... next time?

I just came back from the most amazing dinner with one of my most amazing friends from childhood.  We celebrated restaurant week and St. Patty's Day at Anthony's Pier 4.  We drank wine, ate seafood, Fillet Mignon, and some tasty desserts! I'm so full and I miss her already.  I always have the best conversations with Ash-poo.  We always manage to pick up right where we left off.  I wish we were back in middle school and high school having one our swing set therapy sessions.. when life was less complicated.  We use to spend hours on the phone, not saying a single word, but laughing so hard we couldn't breathe.  I'm pretty sure we were just so overtired that we were delirious, but still.. we had fun with it.

It's too bad I couldn't say the same about my experience coming home since I now have to take care of my 3 year old boyfriend and his best friend.  They have been drinking whiskey since noon and both "lost their lunch" (MD lost his in a cup.. next to my bed) and then passed out (DS passed out in a lounge chair in the back yard).  Now they're both discussing My Fair Wedding with David Tutera, trying not to piss me off even more so than I already am.  When someone has to tell you to "please throw your throw up cup away" you know your holiday went slightly awry.  Fun fun fuuuun! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm totally the only sober human in Southie... beside my Grandmother.  This weekend will be pay back!

Color Me Green Part I

The Rodarte dress with my Rebecca Taylor cream tweed blazer was a hit today, but it was a long day.   When I got home I took a long shower, changed into my green St. Patty's Day inspired nighty and slapped a Guerlain mask on my face!  Then layered on the Instant Pur Deep Cleansing Masque from YSL.. it's green so I thought it was fitting.  My skin feels amazing and I feel much more relaxed. Bren Bren and I then went on an adventure to Jamie's and Tedeschi's and bought some ghetto ingredients to make chili tacos (my mom always makes chili tacos and I never thought they were weird until everyone I introduced them to told me that it wasn't a normal combo)! They were delish.

Now I am going to make some St.Patty's Day headbands for tomorrow and Sunday! So excited!

Come sit in my tub with me!

Breakfast at Tiffany's screenshot

Cast Iron Bathtub Couch by ruffhouseart on Etsy!

I have finally convinced my luv bug to assist me (and by assist I mean do all the dirty work while I pick fabric swatches) in making my very own Breakfast at Tiffany's Tub Couch!!.. better known as a claw-foot cast iron tub couch.  I am super excited! Now I just have to do some research.  Most used cast iron tubs run about $700-800.  Thanks to my lovely co-worker (who shall remain nameless since she acted like a poopy pants when I ever so graciously included her name in an earlier entry.. now she's totally going to kill me, mwahahaa!) I now know of a guy in Exeter who may have something for me that's more affordable! So I'm totally psyched like a huge loser to ride over to Exeter in the truck with the MD to find my future piece of furniture!... and maybe go antiquing at the same time.. and then maybe blog about the experience after... maybe. SO EXCITED! I will let you all know how it goes! I need to calm down with the exclamation points.

This is a shot of my first piece of antique furniture! When I first found the vanity it was all beat up and natural wood (it wasn't pretty.. if it was I would have kept it natural, trust me).  My big bro' painted it black for me and then I switched the knobs out with all different ones from Anthropology.  I have an obsession with their knobs. But I absolutely love my vanity.  I'll have to post a better picture of it another time, and include my lily pad that I sit on to do my makeup.

Well now I have to go play house in The Pole.
Ugh I'm totally getting Shepherd's Pie from Raven's Nest. Mmmmm.

Welcome to my world.

These little guys are the newest addition to my bedroom.  I've been looking for something like this for years.  I think I'll put some dried floral in them or just leave them be.  OR! Maybe if MD brought me flowers!  I could put those in there... just a thought.   My favorite part is the mint green glaze (yes Lesa!  I know it has a technical term but I just texted you and got no answer) on the inside, and the difference in textures.

This is what I deal with... everyday.  And this is why I also take up an armoire, a closet at home, a bureau, and a couple hundred tupperware containers.  I hate not having an entire place to myself.  One day, I'll have a huge walk-in closet all to myself.  One day.

Yup! I'm wearing you on Wednesday pretty little thang! I want to layer a button down over her.. maybe tie it up.  There's just so many options! Ok I need to calm down.  She is a pretty little thing though isn't she.  Yes.. I'm verging on creepy.

Just got of the phone with my mom.. She's totally partying it up in sunny FL with her besty, Barbie.  She's out being a cougar. Reeow!  Love you mom!!

Weekend gone awry.

I thought this weekend would be filled with magic... and it was, just not the kind that I had in mind.  We planned on going to an alcohol infused magic show.. but instead we decided to support the arts in a different way and ended up at Great Scott for some good old fashion local music.  As soon as my friend and I left we got some drive by compliments, which I considered to be quite magical!  We each got style specific appreciation.. that we, in turn, appreciated!

Anyways! Today, I got dressed in my James Dean/Breakfast Club gear and instead of getting my cards read, I went shopping... same thing. Not really.  I went crazy and bought three Go International dresses from Target (Tracy Feith, Rodarte and Libertine), sold my soul and left feeling as though I just got completely owned.  I then went to go make a simple return at TJmaxx which turned into a $200 shopping spree.  Things escalated rather quickly, but I got a beautiful Paul & Joe teal silk dress for my friends rehearsal dinner, a denim Helmut Lang shirt and a mauve silk/cotton blend Baraschi ruffle top! Super cute.  I am successfully broke once again.

*** Just an FYI, you don't need a blogger account to follow me! As long as you have a gmail account you're good! I'm pretty sure you won't get crazy emails or anything... it just makes me look cool.
